biography

Steely-eyed, stage-trained actor of film and the occasional TV-movie, who is known for his portrayals of cold-hearted villains. Wincott began his career acting in a number of Canadian-produced features before appearing in several Oliver Stone productions including "Talk Radio" (1988), recreating his role from Eric Bogosian's off-Broadway success; "Born on the Fourth of July" (1989), as a Vietnam Vet; and "The Doors" (1991), as the rock group's record producer. Wincott has since performed some frightening turns as sword-wielding villains in "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" (1991) and "The Three Musketeers" (1993), as well as mob bosses in "Romeo Is Bleeding" (1993) and "The Crow" (1994).
