Some of the hottest women in Hollywood -- Angelina Jolie, Gisele Bundchen, Scarlett Johansson -- are settling down, getting hitched and popping out babies. Even Carrie Bradshaw finally put a ring on it in last summer's blockbuster Sex and the City.
So what's a single girl to do? Since it's officially summer, there's no time like the present to have a hot summer fling. We've assembled a list of Hollywood's hottest single ladies, and took the liberty of playing matchmaker:
JENNIFER ANISTON
The perpetual Miss Lonelyhearts of Tinseltown, Aniston had a doozy of a fling last year with that scoundrel John Mayer. Now that she's licking her wounds (again), we have to frown on her latest choice of dates -- the ladies-loving Bradley Cooper. We're beginning to wonder if Aniston really is looking for "everlasting love with an adult stable male," as she joked last month, or if she just likes to attach herself to Hollywood's latest It Guy. Sorry, Jen, but you're just never going to outshine the star power that is Brangelina. If you insist on dating another celebrity, how about John Stamos? He's Greek, like you, and he's probably still stinging from a very public divorce from a supermodel (Rebecca Romijn) who went on to find happiness with a new husband and twin babies. Sound familiar?
CAMERON DIAZ
Cameron has a history of being a serial monogamist who likes pretty boys; she dated Matt Dillon, Jared Leto and Justin Timberlake each for three-plus years. But is it the men who just can't commit, or is it Cammie who likes to play the field? The athletic model-turned-actress has a reputation for being a fun-loving, laid-back chick -- except for the time she blew up at Timberlake after he showed up at a party with Jessica Biel. Now that the 35-year-old has apparently graduated from playing the "hot girl" to a mommy role in My Sister's Keeper, will she move on to more mature relationships in real life as well? How about Clooney? Maybe she can finally tame Hollywood's most notorious confirmed bachelor.
DREW BARRYMORE
We've always loved Drew for throwing convention to the wind and dating whomever she pleases, thank you very much. After a brief (second) marriage to wacky Canadian comedian Tom Green, Drew moved on to a 5-year relationship with shaggy rocker Fabrizio Moretti. Her latest romance is her puzzling on- and off-relationship with "the Mac Guy," Justin Long. After declaring their schmoopy love for each other on Oprah, the pair decided they just weren't that into each other -- but remained friends. In fact, they're so friendly that they're regularly photographed together out to dinner, movie premieres, and baseball games ... not to mention the occasional make-out sesh. Huh? It's time for Drew to move on already, and we nominate her pal Jason Segel (How I Met Your Mother) to be her next funny guy.
PARIS HILTON
Paris has a habit of declaring every boyfriend the guy she's going to marry. (See: Benji Madden, Stavros Niarchos, Paris Lastis -- to whom she was actually briefly engaged.) Is she a romantic at heart, or just fickle? We're guessing the latter. After subjecting the public to disgusting red-carpet PDA all over the world with her last bf, the cocky and ridiculous Doug Reinhardt of The Hills fame, we'd prefer that the now-single again Paris not date anyone. Ever.
MEGAN FOX
At 23, Megan Fox has already broken off an engagement (to the much older Brian Austin Green, aka David Silver from Beverly Hills, 90210). Suffice to say, the sexy star of Transformers is no late bloomer. Known as much for running off her mouth in the press as her Angelina Jolie-like black tresses and multiple tattoos, Fox seems too hot to handle for the average guy. We suggest she hook up with a rising star her own age for a summer fling, and not get so serious so soon. How about Gossip Girl's Chace Crawford?
KATE HUDSON
This Hollywood golden girl seems to have fairly random tastes in men -- she married rocker Chris Robinson at the tender age of 21, then took up with comedian Owen Wilson after her divorce. Most recently, she's been linked to New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez. But since the Rodriguez pairing is nothing more than tabloid rumor at this point, we think she should trade up to a fun-loving movie star like The Hangover's Bradley Cooper. Homerun!
LINDSAY LOHAN
Lindsay Lohan has left a long line of suitors strewn in her wake, from first love Wilmer Valderrama (really?) to Hard Rock Cafe heir Harry Morton to that dude she met in rehab. And let's not forget Aaron Carter, her tween boyfriend over whom she feuded with Hilary Duff. But the most infamous relationship of all was her most recent with deejay/hipster Samantha Ronson. Since the chain-smoking, skinny-jeans-wearing, paparazzi-attracting pair split, Lohan has been single. We suggest she stay that way and focus on reviving her once-promising career.
KATE GOSSELIN
In case you haven't heard, Kate Gosselin is back on the market. So if you're into single moms with eight kids, a crazy haircut and unnaturally high belly-button, give her a call. Swarms of paparazzi and guaranteed tabloid coverage included.
