Forgive me if I'm wrong, but do you expect more from actresses who have played fashionable characters? For example, Sarah Jessica Parker after she played Carrie Bradshaw, with her off-beat, designer-savvy style. Though not known as quite such a style maven, Lucy Liu visually assaulted my eyes at the opening of the Incognito Design Exhibition at the Whitney Museum of American Art, even after serving time in the Cashmere Mafia.

The only thing I remotely like about this dress is the inoffensive, uninteresting, uncreative ivory color. There are many things not to like -- the fit, the fabric that seems to pull at even Liu's tiny frame, the awkward gold stitching, and lest we forget, the freaking garden growing out of the bustline. Seriously, that thing is huge. Are those actual flowers? Lucy must not have allergies, but she does seem to be itching to wear ugly clothing to photographed events.
