Lauren Conrad is taking a break from the fashion industry and temporarily putting her clothing line on hold. Apparently these tough economic times have inspired Lauren to take a break and re-work the line, which mainly consists of overpriced jersey dresses.

Lauren's rep told Usmagazine.com that The Hills star "will look over the past seasons to determine what worked and what didn't work so that she may design clothing that will appeal to her fans." We're hoping this means she'll come back with a more affordable line targeted toward her teenage fans, but there are already rumors that Lauren wants to use higher-end fabrics and do things she couldn't before. Well, best of luck with that post-Hills career, Lauren.
