Lauren Conrad Shows at L.A. Fashion Week

It's time to up the style ante, L.C.

This week, Lauren Conrad presented her Spring 2009 collection at L.A. Fashion Week. While the designs are an improvement from what she's shown before, they still lack originality and a point of view. The collection included her usual roundup of solid jersey dresses, a few separates, and she finally got up the nerve to incorporate patterns. Baby steps, L.C., baby steps. Huge bangles hung from the models' wrists and floral headbands were on practically every head. A nod to Blair Waldorf? We think so.

While it's easy to give Lauren a hard time since she doesn't specialize in high fashion (and since The Hills spells the end of humanity), her garments are cute and feminine and perfect for girls like ... well, Lauren Conrad. Unfortunately, the price point is a little high for those without their own reality shows. Our advice to Lauren, lower your prices or up the style ante. But don't get down on yourself. Your clothes are still nicer than Heidi's.
