Although created by reality star designers, the dresses of the Emmy trophy girls did not steal any spotlights during last night's awards. The gowns designed by The Hills star Lauren Conrad and Project Runway Season Four winner Christian Siriano received little recognition during a night honoring the stars of the small screen. Lauren Conrad created a classic dark green dress that featured a diamond brooch. The look was reminiscent of old Hollywood glamor, but simple enough to keep the attention on the Emmy winners. On the other hand, the multi-layered magenta gown designed by Christian Siriano was much too billowy and didn't do anything for his model's figure, unless of course she was pregnant.

Kate Hudson Style'Although little fuss was made over the high drama TV stars' designs, they both made sure their talent didn't go unnoticed. Lauren wore a navy strapless dress of her own design and had plenty of opportunities to show it off on the red carpet and as a presenter on stage. While the best model you could ask for, show hostess Heidi Klum, slipped into one of Christian's designs from his spring 2009 collection. Swathed and encircled in layers of gray and chartreuse, it was Klum's best costume change of the night.
