We Want More Kristen Wiig, Stat.
She was good in Ghost Town and is starting to own SNL. We'd like to see her become huge!
Kristen Wiig on NBC's 'Saturday Night Live' -

I have a question for those of you who saw Ghost Town last weekend: don't you think Kristen Wiig deserved to be in more than three scenes? OK, I know it wouldn't have made much sense for her spray-tanned surgeon character to pop up anywhere else in the movie, but her "everybody dies" scene with Ricky Gervais was one of the film's funniest moments, and was heavily featured in the promos. Plus, Wiig is on the verge of becoming the next SNL funny woman to really break out. Wiig's been championed by TV critics for her zany Suze Orman impression and overall talent for playing kooky misfits. With Amy Poehler leaving the show in November, Wiig will undoubtedly be asked to pick up a lot of her slack. (If McCain wins the White House, you know they won't be able to lure Tina Fey back every week to play Sarah Palin for the next four years). She'll become a much bigger SNL star, and in turn, this will make her face more recognizable when it pops up in the movies (unless of course it's twisted up into one of those crazy contortions she does so well). Wiig should have a smooth transition into a movie career. She has a knack for playing weirdos both outlandish (like her SNL characters) and realistic (like the quietly strange surgeon in Ghost Town, or as Katherine Heigl's passive aggressive boss in Knocked Up). If she keeps up the good, weird work, it won't be long before her movie roles start growing, and SNL starts scrambling to replace her. Editor's note: please to be enjoying Kristen Wiig as Suze Orman. Our fine friends over at Hulu will play an ad first... but then you'll get a delightful five minutes of Wiig. Most Popular Stories
