Known primarily for his exploration of sexual themes and his stylistic excesses, controversial British director Ken Russell first found himself artistically as a still photographer, contributing to such publications as PICTURE POST and ILLUSTRATED, after ineffectual forays into the ballet and theatrical worlds.
