Former story editor who first achieved executive status in the production department of Universal Studios in the mid-1980s. Moving to TriStar in 1985, Lingg worked her way up to senior vice president of production while overseeing the development of such features as "Chances Are" (1989) and "The Freshman" (1990). In 1992 she moved over to Paramount's television division, where she assumed responsibility for the company's development and production of miniseries and TV-movies.
