With her outlandish costumes, heavy make-up (especially an abundance of blue eye shadow) and snarling delivery, the character of Mimi Bobeck on "The Drew Carey Show" (ABC, 1995- ) proved to be a formidable nemesis for the title character. Mimi embodied everyone's worst nightmare of the co-worker from hell, but the character brought TV fame to the rotund, diminutive, blonde comedian who created the part. Born and raised in Stevens Point, WI, Kinney relocated to NYC to pursue a career as a comedian and stage actress. While working as a secretary at the local CBS affiliate, she met Bill Sherwood
