A comedic stage actress and improviser who spent many years paying her dues in Chicago, New York and Los Angeles clubs, Kate Flannery experienced her first wave of notoriety for her role as the office drunk, Meredith Palmer, in the Emmy-winning sitcom, “The Office” (NBC, 2005- ). Unbeknownst to fans of all things Dunder-Mifflin, Flannery was also an accomplished vocalist, having recorded with John Flansburgh of They Might Be Giants and had co-starred in the long-running lounge act parody “The Lampshades” at the ImprovOlympic in Hollywood.
