Julianne Hough, a two-time champ of Dancing with the Stars, says she won't return to the show that made her a household name next season.

Instead, the aspiring singer -- who released her first country album this year -- will focus on her music. She leaves the door open, however, to return to DWTS in future seasons.

"I won't be on Dancing this spring season. I don't know about the fall. Maybe, maybe not. We'll see," Hough writes on her blog. Way to hedge your bets, Julianne! Never smart to bite the hand that feeds you.

Hough told Ryan Seacrest on his radio program this morning that she wants to be taken seriously as an artist. "I think it's hard to be on Dancing with the Stars and be singing and get that confusion," she said.

Meantime, Hough is cheering on brother Derek Hough and his partner, Brooke Burke, for the remainder of this season. Julianne and her partner, Cody Linley, were eliminated last week, leaving Lance Bass and Warren Sapp in the finals with Burke.
