Julianne Hough isn't cooling her heels since leaving Dancing With the Stars.
The professional ballroom dancer, who is taking a break from the popular reality show to pursue her singing career, has reportedly auditioned to star in the remake of Footloose. Thankfully, she'd be appearing opposite Gossip Girl's Chace Crawford rather than real-life squeeze Chuck Wicks. Chuck's cute, but we've all seen that he can't dance.

The Footloose gig would be yet another career boost for Hough, a small-town girl from Utah who quickly became a fan favorite on Dancing and whose debut country album was an instant hit.
Hough is also reportedly in the running to star with Christina Aguilera in a new movie musical called Burlesque.
