A handsome, dark-haired actor who made a big impression playing Matthew, the friend of Hugh Grant's who loses his gay lover (Simon Callow), in "Four Weddings and a Funeral" (1994), John Hannah received a BAFTA Best Supporting Actor nomination for his work and his bookings have not stopped since. After working as an electrician for four years (a "lazy one" by his own admission) he decided to give acting a whirl. Hannah made his film debut in a small role in "Harbour Beat" (1990).
