Along with his directing partners Jim Abraham and brother David Zucker, Jerry Zucker all but revolutionized comedy in the 1980’s – starting with arguably their most famous send-up, “Airplane!” (1980) – before moving on to produce and direct mainstream feature films, ranging from romantic comedies to period dramas over the span of three decades.
