Plucked from a job delivering pizzas by director David Lynch to play motorcycling loner James Hurley, Laura Palmer's secret lover on the cult TV soap opera, "Twin Peaks", Marshall had previously starred as a date rapist in the CBS Schoolbreak Special, "No Means No", produced by his father, William R.
