Jacobo Morales began his career in show business as a teenager. By the 1970s, he had appeared as a revolutionary in Woody Allen's "Bananas" (1971) and as Fidel Castro in the Barbra Streisand vehicle "Up the Sandbox" (1972). In the 80s, Morales wrote, directed and starred in his first three feature films. "Dios los Crea/God Created Them" (1980) was a social commentary made up of five short stories, and won a number of international awards.
