Green is an American camera operator turned director of photography who is noted for his somber visual sensibility and long, fruitful collaboration with Clint Eastwood. He was a former assistant to acclaimed cinematographer Bruce Surtees who preceded him as Eastwood's collaborator of choice. Green's camera operator credits include such Eastwood-directed films as "The Gauntlet" (1977), "Bronco Billy" (1980), "Firefox" (1982), "Honkytonk Man" (1982), "Sudden Impact" (1983) and "Pale Rider" (1985).
