Emmy Award-winner Jack Klugman became an actor because he could not pay a gambling debt – he literally enrolled in drama school to hide from his collectors. Years later, he became one half of the funniest and most memorable TV duos of all time, yet his career also spanned film and theater. He was best known for playing supremely sloppy Oscar Madison on “The Odd Couple” (ABC, 1970 – 75), opposite Tony Randall as neurotic neat freak Felix Unger.
