biography
Sultry, talented leading lady with a somewhat pouty expression, often cast as a seductress, an unfaithful wife or a woman down on her luck. Grahame's career peaked in 1952 with an Oscar-winning role in "The Bad and the Beautiful". She also excelled in such films as "It's a Wonderful Life" (1946, as Violet), "In a Lonely Place" (1950, opposite Humphrey Bogart), and "Odds Against Tomorrow" (1959).
