biography
Handsome, perennially-tanned leading man of films and television who is more famous for his social connections than the roles he's played. Even though he was cast in more than fifteen films in ten years during the 1960s, including "By Love Possessed" (1962), with Lana Turner, "Light in the Piazza" (also 1962), with Olivia de Havilland, and "Viva Maria" (1965), with Brigitte Bardot and Jeanne Moreau, Hamilton's star didn't really take off.
