biography
A former member of the Royal Shakespeare Company and veteran of regional fringe theater, Barber has performed on TV and in films by Peter Greenaway ("A Zed and Two Noughts" 1985) and Nicolas Roeg ("Castaway" 1986). She is probably best known to US audiences as Rosie in Stephen Frears's "Sammy and Rosie Get Laid" and as Joe Orton's sympathetic sister Leonie in Prick Up Your Ears" (both 1987).
