Is Elisabeth Hasselbeck leaving The View?
The daytime chatfest's youngest co-host, who can best be described as "shrill," is denying rumors that she's leaving Barbara Walters' table for a position at Fox News Channel. But Fox News would clearly be a more welcoming place for the Republican Hasselbeck, who is often reduced to tears on The View during political discussions with her more liberal co-hosts.
Also, I think Elisabeth's star started falling during Rosie O'Donnell's stint on The View, when Elisabeth was cast as misguided and naive and ultimately blamed for Rosie's departure. I wouldn't blame her for wanting to leave the show for less hostile pastures. I think I speak for the general public when I say I stopped watching The View after Rosie left because I cannot stand the sound of Elisabeth's voice. At least when Rosie was there, she talked over Elisabeth most of the time.
I'm going to take a page from Entertainment Tonight and pose the question: Real or Rumor? I vote Real.
