Enduringly beautiful, international leading lady, in films from 1931. Darrieux progressed from playing pouty teens to worldy sophisticates, hitting a creative peak in the early 1950s with her appearances in three Max Ophuls films. She was married to director Henri Decoin from 1935 to 1941 and starred in several of his movies in the 1950s.
