A Hollywood screenwriter adept as a master of horror and twirling enticing thrillers, Charles Edward Pogue began his career as an actor in regional theater. After more than a decade of life on stage, he turned to writing, and, as a result, has penned such films as the remakes of both "The Fly" (1986) and "D.O.A." (1988), as well as the medieval epic "Dragonheart" (1996). Earning a degree in theater arts from the University of Kentucky, Pogue became co-founder and artistic director of the Mercury II Theatre in Fort Thomas, KY.
