With his warm, mellifluous voice and velvet-like delivery, radio disc jockey Casey Kasem hosted the iconic radio show “American Top 40” for thirty-four years. Though trends in music are always in flux, Kasem’s long-running program remained virtually unchanged, right down to his patented on-air dedications and celebrated sign-off: “And don’t forget, keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars.”
