biography
Camelia Frieberg has been a presence in the independent film scene of her native Canada for over fifteen years. Beginning as an assistant director, she has also served in a variety of capacities ranging from location manager to associate producer on a number of films including Charles Burnett's "My Brother's Wedding" (1983) to the cross-cultural comedy "Masala" (1992). Frieberg wrote, directed and produced a well-received short documentary "Crossing the River" (1988), about a Salvadoran refugee living in Toronto and served as producer on Jeremy Podeswa's debut "Eclipse" (1994).
