Cute, ultra-clean-cut American juvenile lead best known for his role as Robin, the Boy Wonder (a.k.a. Dick Grayson, "youthful ward of millionaire Bruce Wayne") on the not-for-children-only camp extravaganza, "Batman" (ABC, 1966-68). Celebrated in some quarters and quite popular for a brief period, "Batman" somewhat handicapped both Ward and co-star Adam West, whose tongue-in-cheek playing was not appreciated by all viewers and subsequently made them difficult to cast.
