Leading figure in the field of jazz-related movies. A practicing attorney, Ricker is also the President of Rhapsody Films, a specialist distribution company, and is a veteran programmer of jazz film festivals in New York. He produced and directed the 1980 documentary, "The Last of the Blue Devils", featuring luminaries such as Count Basie and Joe Turner, and produced Charlotte Zwerin's acclaimed "Thelonius Monk: Straight, No Chaser" (1988).
