Britney tries to reclaim the spotlight with an MTV documentary set to air Nov. 30.

Now that Sarah Palin has usurped her role as America's favorite g-droppin', country-talkin', can't-take-our-eyes-off-her trainwreck, what's Britney Spears to do, y'all?

Even former Britney pal Paris Hilton is cozying up to the Republican VP nominee and giving her fashion advice (via Harper's Bazaar). Next thing you know, we'll be seeing pictures of Palin exiting limousines sans underwear in the tabloids. Palin even one-upped the Spears clan in the scandalous teen pregnancy department. In: Bristol Palin. Five Minutes Ago: Jamie Lynn Spears.

Not to be outdone, Britney has elbowed her way back into the spotlight, premiering the video for her latest over-produced single, "Womanizer," on ABC's 20/20 last week and announcing a 90-minute documentary to air Nov. 30 on MTV. Cameras followed the embattled pop star for three months to create Britney: For the Record, in which Britney asks the question: "What the hell was I thinking?" Whether or not she can actually answer this question is anyone's guess.

"So much has gone on over the last couple of years, and there's a lot that people don't know about me that I want them to know," Spears told MTV in a statement. Really? I think I already read the Britney Spears story, and there's a new chapter every week in Us Weekly magazine.

I vote that Britney performs her new single on Saturday Night Live, preferably the same night Sarah Palin is rumored to appear: Oct. 25. Ideally, this would end with some kind of lip-synching debacle/hoedown with Britney running away to Vegas with Bristol's baby daddy, Levi. Reality television at its best!

Speaking of must-see TV:

The Hills
Heidi's sister Holly tries to play peacemaker between former BFFs Lauren and Heidi. Heidi: "I'd love to hang out with her and catch up on what she's been doing for the last two years of her life." Right, because Heidi hasn't actually been watching the reality show about Lauren's life that she co-stars on every week. (10 p.m. Mondays, MTV)

The Girls Next Door
Kendra is invited to play in a celebrity flag football game but balks at wearing a New England Patriots uniform: "The Chargers lost to the Patriots in the AFC Championship. There's no way I'm wearing that." Really? You'll wear body paint on national television but not a Tom Brady jersey? Interesting. (10 p.m. Sundays, E!)

America's Next Top Model
Tyra works with the girls on identifying their "signature poses." Marjorie's signature pose is "Hunchback of Notre Dame." Hot! Mr. Jay: "I definitely want you to use that ... while you're on the toilet." I would put this in context for you, but why should I? (8 p.m. Wednesdays, The CW)

The Rachel Zoe Project
Rachel asks her team to plan a surprise anniversary party for her husband, Rodger. Brad: "The amount of stress that's involved with what we do is intense. I wake up in the middle of the night, like, screaming and having horrible nightmares. And I'm Rachel's assistant." Again: This from a guy who used to work for Anna Wintour. (10 p.m. Tuesdays, Bravo)

Project Runway
The designers are tasked with creating a wedding gown and bridesmaid dress for their final collections. Kenley does her part by acting like Bridezilla. OK, I made that up. Kenley is actually nice for once, but appears to have ripped off her wedding gown design from Alexander McQueen. (9 p.m. Wednesdays, Bravo)

Kimora: Life In The Fab Lane
Kimora chooses models to walk in her runway show at New York Fashion Week. Miss Jay from America's Next Top Model shows up to help: "Something about this girl is frighteningly scary, but I like her." He wasn't actually talking about Kimora, but he should have been. (10:30 p.m Sundays, E!)
