Bill Smitrovich is tall, somewhat brawny, and looks like the average working guy--just the part he played in the ABC series "Life Goes On" (1989-93), which followed an American family trying to make ends meet and make a better life for themselves. Smitrovich's character, Drew Thacher, went from the assembly line to owning his own restaurant, only to see it burn to the ground.The actor was in his twenties when he discovered acting. While attending the University of Bridgeport, he played Lennie in a Stamford, CT, production of "Of Mice and Men" (1992) and was hooked. He then attended the
