Lead and character player of French and international features who made her cinematic debut--as did director Francois Truffaut--with the 1957 short, "The Mischief Makers". Lafont went on to star in several films of the French New Wave, notably those of director Claude Chabrol (e.g., "Web of Passion" 1959; "Violette Noziere" 1977).
