Can't get enough of Barack Obama? HBO has secured the rights to an intimate documentary on Obama's historic presidential run.

Among the project's producers is Edward Norton, who helped finance the film and get access to Obama and his family. Cameras have been following the Obamas since 2006, capturing Obama's trip to Africa and his 2007 presidential announcement.

Shooting is expected to continue through the inauguration in January. But more importantly, will cameras be present when Malia and Sasha pick out the First Puppy? American wants to know!

In any case, the doc is in good hands: Sam Pollard, who edited HBO's When the Levees Broke and 4 Little Girls, will work on the Obama film. It's expected to premiere in 2009.

But when do we get Barack Obama: E! True Hollywood Story?
