Ann Blyth had a slightly upturned--some might say "stuck up"--nose that made her just perfect for the role of "let's not get mushy about it, but I'm sleeping with your husband" Veda Pierce in the 1945 Warner Bros. classic, "Mildred Pierce". Although it was not a musical role (the genre in which she most frequently toiled), Blyth sang one song in that film and earned an Academy Award nomination as Best Supporting Actress.
