Is There Anyone to Root For? Part 1: The WomenLadytex sizes up which women in the Big Brother house are good contenders this season.

Posted by Ladytex Remember when I called Big Brother 9 "Big Brother on speed?" I usually don't dislike all the houseguests until much later in the season, but it didn't take long at all for that to happen this season. In discussing favorites with some friends recently, the conversation shifted from "Who do you like the best?" to "Who do you dislike the least?" In this post, I'll break down my feelings on the female houseguests and I'll talk about the males in my next one. I had the feeling that there were going to be more over-the-top personalities after last season, and I wasn't disappointed in that. It started right off when Parker decided to wake everyone up to ask, or accuse, someone of talking behind his back. I knew then that this would be a long season. They are all playing this game very hard, no holds barred. Natalie is perhaps the sweetest houseguest. She definitely seems to be the ditsiest. Though she seems ditsy, she's not. I think people talk to her thinking she's empty-headed, but she absorbs the information. For me, the problem is that instead of just listening, she feeds into the two-facedness and paranoia. She bashes whoever she's talking to bashes and always tells what she knows. Maybe if she had a partner that she could really talk to she wouldn't be running off at the mouth to everyone else. For a little while, I thought Chelsia would be my favorite. I began to change my mind when she participated in the Amanda bashing. Her nasty comments to Amanda about her father crossed the line. She's another hypocrite complaining about disliking people talking behind her back. This cute little girl has shown some really nasty facets to her personality in the house. She apologizes to her dad for making out with James, but has no problem groping Natalie's breasts or talking about peeing in everyone's food if she thinks she's being evicted. I won't even go into Sheila. I had hoped that she'd be the mature one. She has a 16-year-old son and I think she must act like his contemporaries. She can be so unpleasant. I feel so sorry for Adam, and I never thought I'd say that. He can do nothing right in her eyes. She attacks him for everything. Her voice is annoying me and she says the same thing over and over and over and over. I could not believe how she whined for hours to Allison and Amanda when they returned from the hospital. Amanda is not a bad person, but is very self-centered. She just tries too hard and has a big mouth. She trusts too easily and makes some bad choices. And she doesn't know how to keep things to herself. She shouldn't have told the houseguests about her father's suicide. Josh and Chelsia have already used that knowledge as a weapon against her and Chelsia, at least, has plans to continue to exploit how emotional Amanda gets about it. Allison just bugs the crap out of me. Her jealousy of Jen has not abated. Here we are, four days after Jen was evicted, and Allison is still bashing her to anyone that will listen. She wants Ryan and I think she believes it's her mission to make him see the error of his ways. She's also a very shrewd player. She has made every female remaining in the house think she's their best friend, and after annoying almost everyone early on, has managed to take herself and Ryan off the radar almost. That leaves Sharon. I'm not sure what to make of her. She sits in the corner reading the Bible and seems to avoid the most disgusting sexual conversations in the house. She is very outspoken, but has not made any enemies. She's managed to deflect all unpopular decisions on her partner and almost seems to just be along for the ride. She was almost frenetic when she first returned to the house. She was running to everyone and was talking too much. She has calmed down quite a bit and is almost the invisible woman. She sits and listens to everyone else and really only talks to Joshuah. Do I have a favorite? No, not really. Who do I dislike the least? Probably Sharon, but I feel bad for Amanda. I'm sure this will probably change next week or so. No matter what, though, they aren't usually boring. I'll catch y'all later with my take on the guys. Got a question? Ask Big Brother Here.
