Bio: Maisy Fernandez is equal parts TV enthusiast, shoe addict, hip-hop fan and animal lover. She's worked as an entertainment journalist and feature writer for more than 10 years at newspapers on the west coast, in the midwest and the south.

When she isn't watching Dexter or Project Runway, she's probably ushering her dogs out of her prized "shoe room" or lecturing some poor, unsuspecting teenager about how today's music just doesn't pack the same punch as it did when she was their age. (Yes, she's already turning into her mother, thank you.)

In her free time, Maisy writes pop culture haiku and continues her search for stylish kitchen curtains that don't look like something out of Little House on the Prairie. People who use words like "conversate" or "romantical" make her feel barfy.
