Glenn is an editor and writer with background experience in feature film work, television commercials and theatrical trailers. A UCLA Film School graduate, he worked effects jobs on Close Encounters of the Third Kind and 1941 before turning to editorial work and film writing.

He has published numerous articles and contributed chapters to books on horror, crime and film noir; the DVD Savant website began at MGM in 1997 and its review-essays have earned him a place as one of the most visible web reviewers. DVD Savant: A Review Resource Book was published in 2004.

As an editor at MGM, Glenn helped detect and locate a missing ending to the classic film noir Kiss Me Deadly and produced its film and video restoration. In addition to editing many DVD docus and featurettes, Glenn has contributed commentaries and interviews to DVDs from Warner Home Video, Fox, MGM and Criterion.

Although he cannot locate his "I Survived Ronald Reagan's Assault on the UCLA Campus" button, Glenn never burned his draft card and still believes that Truth, Justice, Better Movies and The American Way are not lost causes.

A favorite quote: "Having an open mind on the culture doesn't obligate one to be a clamshell at the bottom of the ocean, wide open and taking whatever drifts by on the current. You have a right to be discriminating." -- Steven Nielson
