Bio: Eric D. Snider (EricDSnider.com) has wanted to be a writer since he was 5 years old, at approximately the same time that he noticed his last name rhymed with "writer." (This was the same reason that Charlene Hostitute and Marvin Shmattorney chose their professions.) Eric has written a weekly column, "Snide Remarks," since 1997, and he's been serious about being a movie critic since 1999. He did a few reviews before that, but he wasn't really serious about it. Now he means business, though. Eric's best friends are named TiVo, Netflix, and iMac. He was raised in Southern California, lived in Utah for 10 years, and now resides amongst the hipsters and washouts of Portland, Ore., although he is neither of those things himself.
