My three desert island movies would be (and why):
I'm assuming a laugh would be in order so...
Rushmore: It rivals The Big Lebowski as the best comedy of the 90s. Bill Murray is in peak form and there's an iconic performance by Jason Shwartzman as Max Fischer. Even little Mason Gamble kills in this thing. "She's my Rushmore, Max."
Coming To America: My favorite Eddie Murphy comedy, back when he - and Arsenio Hall - were on top of their game. It was all down hill from there.
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels: Steve Martin and Michael Caine are brilliant as two real scumbags. Great story, wonderful execution. The scene with Martin in a wheelchair getting whipped is classic.
